'''Skateboarding slang''' is [[slang]] used by [[skateboard]]ers. Most skateboarders use different terms for different tricks and obstacles.
Most skateboarding tricks have specific names (though they usually aren't considered slang in their own right). However, many tricks have several different names, and new names and tricks are evolving every day.

Below is a list of slang terms and a brief definition.

(contracted; show full)

;Roll-in
:A type of ramp designed specifically for riding down. Skaters rarely perform tricks on these, nor do they ride up them (unless they are getting back up to the top for another run). These ramps are designed to give a skater maximum momentum as he rockets down them, so he gains enough speed to attempt large obstacles ahead.

;Blitz
:Getting a trick first try.

;Sketchy
:Landing a trick in a sloppy style. You may have to tick tack out of it, or you may not move at all.

;Clean
:Landing a trick perfectly. This trick will also most likely look very good.

;Gap
:Jumping from any surface to another surface, normally with unskateable terrain in the middle.

;Bite
:When you lean too far, you may leave bite marks on the bottom of your skateboard. These occur because your wheels rub against the deck.

;Deck
:The skateboard excluding the trucks, wheels, bearings, etc.

;Pulling a Bam Margera
:Doing something obviously retarded.
