Most skateboarding tricks have specific names (though they usually aren't considered slang in their own right). However, many tricks have several different names, and new names and tricks are evolving every day.

Below is a list of slang terms and a brief definition.

:When you lean too far, you may leave bite marks on the bottom of your skateboard. These occur because your wheels rub against the deck.

;Deck
:The skateboard excluding the trucks, wheels, bearings, etc.


;Landing Primo
:Most oftenly referred to as landing a trick while the board is not fully flipped. This will most likely hurt. Rodney Mullen likes to do these intentionally. Rodney Mullen is a god.

;Sick
