As a musician, he has released five multi-platinum selling number-one studio albums and has toured worldwide with artists such as One Republic, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, among numerous others. As a solo musician, he released one studio album, ''Pop Culture'', in November 2013 which has sold over 857,000 copies in the United States. In the music industry, he has also written and produced several singles and albums by artists and groups. He launched his own record label Pop Eclectic in April 2014 and has since signed artists such as Cody Simpson, Nico & Vinz, among others.

As an actor, he has acted in the films ''Snitch'' (2013), ''The Purge'' (2013), ''Begin Again'' (2014), ''The Nut Job'' (2014), and '"The Nut Job 2'' (2016).
