'''Rylan Edmund Smith–Stewart''' (born November 7, 1993) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, filmmaker, and graphic designer born in Apple Valley, Minnesota. He is the lead vocalist and co-founder of the Santa Monica based post-hardcore band Young Turks, which formed in 2010. In 2013, Stewart became a permanent of the band from previously being a subsequent touring member and songwriter for hte group. He signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records and Disney Music Group in early 2015, writing and recording his debut-full length studio album ''Drift'' in 2016. In the film industry, he has written and directed numerous short films including the New York Times Short Story award winning ''No Ceilings'' (2014) and ''Counter Clockwise' (2015).
