Whereas, the people of mekan caste in Baluchistan are called Jamot.in baluchistan mekan areonsidered a sub-branch of Machi(also spelled as [Mochi]), though there is no such claim in any historical books but many of them admit this fact by themselves that they branch of Jamot the meken live near bhaag narielong to Machi caste and are from the Shemir's (also spelled as Sheemir) generation .
They have been slaves of Baluchs for a long period of time in Baluchistan .
