== Pain ==
Farnsworth is entirely unable to feel pain. She once bit through her lip, and didn't notice. She also was in a car accident, which resulted in her getting up and asking "what's going on?" She only had minor injuries.

== Hunger ==
Olivia does not feel hungry, but she does eat. She eats for pleasure, because she knows she has to, and because other people are eating. Olivia's inability to feel hunger has caused her to eat specific foods only for long periods of time. When she was younger, she would only drink milkshakes. In January of 2016, she would only eat chicken soup.<ref>{{Cite web|last=Pickles|first=Kate|date=2016-01-15|title=The 'bionic' girl who doesn't eat, rarely sleeps and doesn't feel pain|url=https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3401566/The-bionic-girl-doesn-t-eat-rarely-sleeps-didn-t-feel-pain-dragged-street-car.html|access-date=2021-04-19|website=Mail Online}}</ref> In 2016, she would eat a much wider range of foods, including fruits and vegetables.<ref>{{Cite web|last=Himelfield|first=Dave|date=2016-12-25|title=How will 'bionic girl' Olivia Farnsworth be celebrating Christmas?|url=http://www.examiner.co.uk/news/west-yorkshire-news/how-bionic-girl-olivia-farnsworth-12366772|access-date=2021-04-19|website=YorkshireLive|language=en}}</ref>

== Sleep ==
It is not known whether Farnsworth actually needs to sleep. She once went three days without sleep and she had none of the usual symptoms of not sleeping. Nevertheless, she takes sleeping pills so she can sleep six hours a night.
