The album is set to be recorded and released in 2016 through Fearless Records. ===Background=== The album's working title refers to the band's new record label of Fearless Records. Following a long dispute with their former record label of Epic Records, the band was unable to release their second studio album, ''Life After All'', due to numerous complications and delays. It was reported on November 30, 2015 that Epic Records have kept the songs recorded and produced for ''Life After All'' away from the band and are making it "illegal and ineligible" for commercial release. In a statement published to the band's Facebook account on November 30, they revealed that they were to record a third album and start the recording process over in 2016. ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ {{Infobox album | Name = Life After All | Type = studio | Artist = Soundcheck | Cover = | Released = 2016 | Recorded = February 3–September 2014
Chango Studios
(Orlando, Florida)
Big Cartel Studios
(Glendale, Arizona) | Genre = | Length = | Label = {{Flat list| * FearlessEpic }} | Producer = {{Flat list| * Justin Meldal-Johnsen * David Bendeth * Cameron Mizell⏎ * Soundcheck}} | Last album = ''Draw My Thoughts: The Reboot''
(2014) | This album = '''''Life After All'''''
(2015) | Next album = | Misc = {{Singles | Name = Life After All | Type = studio | Single 1 = The Divine Zero | Single 1 date = June 21, 2015 }} }} '''''Life After All''''' is the upcoming sophomore studio album by American rock band Soundcheck set to be released in 2016 through Fearless Records. The album was produced by Cameron Mizell, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and David Bendeth and is a follow-up to the band's previous album, ''Draw My Thoughts'' (2012). The lead single "The Divine Zero" was released on June 21, 2015 accompanied with it's music video. ===Background=== Following extensive touring in support of the band's debut album, ''Draw My Thoughts'' (2012), the band began writing for their second album throughout the summer of 2013 on the Van's Warped Tour. The band began recording and production for the album in February 2014 with producer Cameron Mizell at Chango Studios in Orlando, Florida. Initially, the band recorded 10 songs with Mizell and planned on releasing their second album sometime in the fall of 2014. However, plans changed after the band toured as supporting acts on the Monumentour with Fall Out Boy and Paramore and the album was pushed back to a possible late 2014 release. In September and October 2014, it was reported that the band began recording more material for their second album in Glendale, Arizona, but this time around, with producers Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, Young the Giant, The Reveonattes) and David Bendeth (Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage, Underoath). The band finished recording for the album in early October and confirmed that the album was set to be released sometime in early 2015. In December 2014, it was confirmed that the album's title would be ''Life After All.'' On June 21, 2015, the band released their single "The Divine Zero", accompanied with it's music video, and announced that the album would be released in October 2015. The album will be the band's first release on Fearless Records following their departure with Epic Records. In support of ''Life After All'', the band embarked on the Life After All North American Tour in March and concluded in June 2015 with Sleeping With Sirens, As it Is, and Slaves. It was announced on April 6, 2015, that the band would be performing on the main stage at the 2015 Van's Warped Tour. In September 2015, the band is set to embark on the European leg of their Life After All World Tour with supporting acts Dance Gavin Dance, Idlehands, and Moose Blood. ===Confirmed tracks=== # "Abandoned" # "Behemoth" (featuring Beau Bokan of blessthefall) # "Built Of Bricks" # "12:28" # "Shore Lines" # "Cigarettes" # "The Divine Zero" # "Never Coming Home" (featuring Ryan Key of Yellowcard) # "Vacant" (featuring Chester Bennington) # "Catastrophe" # "Sad News In a Quiet Room" (featuring Kyle Meslow of Keyes) # "Locked Out of Los Angeles" (featuring Lyndsey Gunnulfsen of PVRIS) # "Stumblingnreleased second studio album by American rock band Soundcheck tentatively scheduled to be released throughout late 2014 to early 2016 on Epic Records. In September 2015, the band embarked on the European leg of their Life After All World Tour with supporting acts Dance Gavin Dance, Idlehands, and Moose Blood. On November 30, 2015, the band published a statement on their Facebook account referring to the delay with ''Life After All'': {{quote|As you are all very well aware, our second album titled Life After All has constantly been delayed again and again since the conclusion of the post-production process. And, as some of you are more aware about the music industry and the surprises it can throw your way, it is not entirely our fault this record has been delayed as many times as it has. And that is what this statement is for: to educate you and update all of you about what has been happening since we finished recording the album. So let us start from the beginning. We had the intentions of recording our second full-length immediately following our European tour in 2014. When we returned to the States, we had less than 48 hours to prep ourselves to fly to Orlando to begin the recording process for the album. While we have all been excited an eager to get back in the studio at this point, we had hit our first bump in the road, and that bump was our former drummer Jack. As much as we love and support him and his last minute decision, at the time, he was not mentally ready to record an album for the next 5 weeks. He left and we were very worried about how this would effect the pace we wanted to go at with recording. However, we picked up Luke Holland, who was just a few hours way, and he agreed to live with us and help record percussion for only the month that we had at Chango Studios. We were relieved to say the least. By early April, we had an entire fifteen songs ready to be mixed, but as anal as all of us were, we were not satisfied with the final product. So, our label at the time, Epic Records, helped us out and lent us money to go back into the studio for a couple of weeks that September and re-write and re-produce some songs. By the next month, we were more satisfied than we were beforehand, which is all that really mattered. Our goal was to give you guys the best follow-up to our debut as we could. We wanted to outdo ourselves and blow everybody's minds. We were told that the album would be out by the end of 2014, however that became clear that wasn't going to happen. And we didn't find out through our label, we found out through our old tour manager (which is not how that should go). We were upset by this choice and pondered possibly releasing the album ourselves, in fear that we were not in good hands; that this album was not in good hands. We announced a tour that was dedicated and named after this album, and fans were expected this album out. A statement was released throughout our management stating that we would have Life After All out by March 2015. That didn't happen. So, now, we're on this world tour in support of an album that hasn't came out yet. By April, we were ready to bring up the fact that we wanted out of our recording contract with Epic. Taking their time, Epic responded about a month later saying that was okay, however wanted their money back. Money they gave to us. Money they made clear was ours. So, this is what started the uproar of sh*t. We ended up getting ourselves into this mess in which we owed money to one of the biggest music companies in the world and it didn't look good for us. And, since Life After All was recorded under their contract with US, they kept our music and art from us. Literally, no one could hear it or touch it. And to this day, ever since, we are being held captive from our music we worked long and hard for. So, in early May, we became an independent act. We had been in talks with RED and Fearless for a few months at this point and Fearless ended up being more than willing to help us out. Hell, they gave us free studio time and threw Dan Korneff at us to record a new song or two. And that's how "The Divine Zero" happened. We got that single out as soon as possible. And, as of now, we are not allowed to continue on legally with the title. This might be the last you hear from Life After All, An album you'll never get to hear. Now, under Fearless Records, proud and eager, we are working on getting back into the studio to make new music for you. The fans. It has been a long ride these last 2 years, but we are finally happy and glad to be back with a group of people who care. We are incredibly dissatisfied and apologetic about keeping this from you for so long. You deserve new music. So, now, happy on Fearless, we will be making our third album next year. 2016. Here. We. Come. #Soundcheck2016.}} The band revealed in a statement on the same day that percussionist Luke Holland departed from the band on November 30, 2015. Holland posted a statement from his official Facebook stating: {{quote|With all the love in the world, I regret to tell you that I will be leaving Soundcheck. This band has taught me so much more than what I have learned in the past five years of pursuing music. I've met the best people and have became more aware of how dangerous the music industry truly is since joining this band and I will forever support Rylan, Gabe, Tyler, and Damien. Forever. But right now, I need to pursue my other passions. Thank you for understanding.}} ===Track listing=== '''Epic Records tracks''' * "Abandoned" * "Behemoth" (featuring Beau Bokan of blessthefall) * "Built Of Bricks" * "12:28" * "Shore Lines" * "Cigarettes" * "Never Coming Home" (featuring Ryan Key of Yellowcard) * "Catastrophe" * "Locked Out of Los Angeles" (featuring Lyndsey Gunnulfsen of PVRIS) * "Stumbling" '''Fearless Records tracks''' * "The Divine Zero" {{Infobox Album | Name = Live!
